Kitchen Cabinet Expansion

Fixing a too-small kitchen cabinet (and the 3-inch gap that drove our client nuts)

When a client moved into a new apartment, they inherited a nice kitchen with one glaring flaw: a wall cabinet that ended three inches short of the wall. That little gap caught their eye every day—and cost them valuable storage. They asked if we could help maximize the space without disrupting the look.

We sourced the identical cabinet style in the next size up, matched the finish and hardware, and reinstalled with a tight scribe to the wall. We adjusted the crown, leveled the run, and transferred shelves so everything felt factory-built.

The result: a seamless wall of cabinetry, a few extra cubic feet of storage, and—most importantly—peace of mind every time they walk into the kitchen.
