For a custom yacht table, we used a new vacuum infusion method on mahogany, enhancing its durability and making it truly seaworthy. Here's how it works: we place the mahogany plank in a vacuum bag, pour marine-grade epoxy at the bottom, and then crank up the vacuum pressure. Slowly, the epoxy creeps upward, saturating the wood from the inside out. The result? A deeply infused, UV-stabilised, waterproof slab that’s built to last on deck — no matter the weather.
This approach ensures complete epoxy penetration, locking in strength, stability, and resistance to the harsh marine environment. Perfect for high-end applications where beauty meets performance.
