A recent client, a fellow tall human, came to us with a solid, well-made table that had one big drawback: it was uncomfortable for him to sit at. The height simply didn’t work, and his knees never fit properly underneath. Instead of replacing a perfectly good piece of furniture, he asked us to improve it.
We started by taking careful measurements and checking whether he wanted the new legs colour-matched to the old ones. His answer was simple—he wasn’t concerned about matching finishes, he just wanted to be able to sit at his table comfortably. With that in mind, we sourced suitable materials, refit the legs, and adjusted the proportions so the table now fits him properly. A straightforward change, but one that makes a world of difference in his daily use.
